Prison Performing Arts Invite Design

This past month I had the pleasure of working with Prison Performing Arts, a multi-discipline, literacy and performing arts program that serves incarcerated adults and children in Missouri. They contacted me to design an invitation for their “Spring Night in the City” fundraiser. Below is the final design:

SBTV.com Media Kit

This media kit was created for SBTV.com, the leader in small business television online. The client came to me with the need for a media kit, but wanted to keep the cost low. Because of this I chose a smaller size of a 6″ x 9″ pocket folder and had the 16 pages saddle stitched in. Printing was done by InkRockit.com.

It also features a back pocket with a business card slot. I also designed the business card.

Scavenger Hunt

Project for the education department at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, MO.
Target: Kid’s that are Scouts in kindergarten through 2nd grade
Goal: Increase learning about the trains at the Museum through a fun self-guided tour

The end result: This project really brought the kid out in me as I remembered how scavenger hunts were so much fun. I came up with the idea of a treasure map that incorporated the train theme with train tracks. The piece folds out:

Capital Campaign Booklet

This piece was created for the Museum of Transportation to raise funds for their Capital Campaign booklet. The Executive Director of the Museum requested that I incorporate both kids artwork and photography.

This is the first newsletter The Museum of Transportation has done in many years and wanted to convey their past, present and future projects. Plus, I developed a new color palette to be used throughout this piece and on all future projects.

The Tavern restaurants, located in the Dallas, Texas greater area promoted St. Patrick’s Day upcoming festivities by having servers wear this T-shirt. This design was created while I worked at Propaganda in St. Louis, MO.

This project was done while working at Propaganda in St. Louis. The client was the Tavern restaurant chain, located in the Dallas, Texas greater area. They needed an awareness promotion for their Free Wifi. Pieces included: poster, coasters, and business card.

While designing my Bauerhaus Design business cards, my most important goal was to be able to stand out from my competition at networking events. When you meet someone at an event, it is hard to communicate what level of design work you do within 1 to 2 minutes of talking. I really wanted to design a card that the person receiving would say “Wow, did you design this?” and in turn go back to the office to check out my website.

Retail in-store promotion

When I worked at Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Creative Department for a year and a half, I designed many different pieces. I did everything from art directing photo shoots to designing hang tags, custom graphic tees, direct mail, window displays, website updates, e-newsletters and seasonal promotions.

One of my favorite pieces from my time there was the spring promotion to hold a contest to design Pawlette’s new outfit. I designed this purse to hold all of the instructions.
