Earlier this year Bruce from Digital Wine Marketing hired me to create the winery website design options for Azzaro Vineyards. I provided him with several designs, his client picked their favorite and he programmed the website in the Drupal Content Management System. The e-commerce section is integrated with Nexternal eCommerce Platform.

Azzaro Vineyards and winery, located in Sonoma Valley, California, is dedicated exclusively to producing 100 percent varietal, single-vineyard wines that best express the distinct personality of each vineyard. The goal of this website was to increase it both in elegance and the amount of photos that capture being at Azzaro Vineyards.

After reading through the answer to the design questionnaire I provided Azzaro, I came up with the following three designs. All were designed to appeal to the high end wine consumer who love Azzaro’s World Class Zinfandel and Pinot Noir.

Option #1:

This leads with a large photo gallery, while incorporating texture details from their wine labels. I also included 4 blog posts on the home page, because blogging is one of the best ways to increase your traffic to your website.

Option #2:

Focuses on the Azzaro brand story, while still promoting how to visit, shop online and get email sign ups.

Simplified version that still incorporates their wine label details, but is focused on photos and getting an email sign up.
